Audience: Year 9-12 students

Duration: 1.5 hours

Location: This experiment can be carried out in schools or our laboratory.

 

In this activity students will find out how much energy is released by hydrogen, work out the best ratios of gas to get the maximum energy out and have a go at putting together a fuel cell, measuring the output. This activity will make the students work on their calculus skills as well as expand their understanding of fuel cells.
